Freshmen are working on their bridge project in which they had to form a company, assign job roles, draw blueprints, write out checks for materials and keep a balance sheet.

Ms. Stange's United States History I class studied the Underground Railroad and the use of hidden quilt messages. Students were asked to create their own quilt design but each quilt square had to include a lit lantern as that signaled a safe house. The pictures show a "paper quilt" of the students' quilt blocks.

Check out this beautiful corner desk made in the woodshop!

The Young Adult Medicine students have been testing their skills in wrapping wounds, splinting and applying slings.

Companion Animal Care recently learned about the different digestive tracts animals may have. Today the students got to make the digestive systems out of playdoh. The digestive systems they created were for a monogastric (the pig), a ruminant (the cow), and a bird, since bird’s digestive systems are a little different than other monogastrics.

Physics class is investigating centripetal forces produced by rotating bodies.

March has Youth Art Month, Women's History Month, and International Women's Day (8th), all rolled into one! Our fifth graders are learning about Frida Kahlo, a prominent woman in Mexican art history, to tie all these pieces together. They had a really respectful conversation about her history, the symbols used in her artwork, and how her life affected her artwork. I was so proud of the fifth graders ability to read artwork and communicate what they saw!

We were able to welcome fantastic NHS readers in for Dr. Seuss’ birthday - so many thanks to these wonderful high schoolers!

March is Youth Art Month!
The State Superintendent signed a proclamation declaring it as Youth Art Month in Wisconsin (Nationally recognized previously). Check it out!

After learning about forensics, students were able to analyze fingerprints.

The 4th graders welcomed a guest reader to our classroom to celebrate Read Across America week. What a fun way to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday!

Congratulations to the Town of Hamburg and Maple Grove School!

Through the month of February, the 3rd grade students were challenged to fill their hearts with reading. The set goal was 5,000 minutes and together they surpassed that goal by reading 10,000 minutes for the month! Congratulations, and keep on reading! 🤩

Fifth graders made a diorama from one event/scene in a book they read!

National Honor Society (NHS) did a great job reading to their friends at Athens Elementary. A great time was had by all! Happy Read Across America!
