The Referendum Considerations presentation provided by Beth Steinke and Andrea Sheridan offered a clear, comprehensive look at the key considerations surrounding future referendum(s) for the School District of Athens. The presentation underscored that this decision is not solely about facilities or funding, it is about shaping a sustainable future for our schools and ensuring that students continue to thrive.
Throughout January, we invite our community to follow along as we share weekly updates on social media and the school district website. Starting on January 8th, you can visit athens1.org and click on “Superintendent Connection.”

As a community member you have the opportunity to voice your thoughts, concerns, goals and desires to enhance our school district. As an elected School Board Member, you will have the added responsibility to be involved in the full decision-making process which include approving policies for administration and staff to follow, evaluate the superintendent, set the budget, and advocate for your students and your school district.
