Intro to Sewing has been getting acclimated with their machines and started their first projects last week-pin cushions!! New this week are face masks :)
4th graders made a “Forest of Family Trees” in our hallways.
The students did a wonderful job learning about their ancestors, what countries they came from and even some family traditions/beliefs. It was awesome to see and hear about everyone’s family and what makes each child unique!
The high school band rehearsed in a different way on Friday to help them “tune” into each other’s parts better! 😁
An artist? A cook? Game warden? A ninja? It’s Career Day at AES! I can’t wait to see all of the endless possibilities that are in the future of our students!
Since we couldn't go to the Grand Theater this year, we brought the Grand to us! Here, 2nd graders are enjoying the performance of Pete the Cat!
On March 18th FFA members competed in the virtual District Leadership Development Events or LDEs. LDEs are speaking events that FFA members can compete in to develop their public speaking skills. This year we had six members compete:

Kaitlyn Riehle in Extemporaneous Speaking
Maleah Redmann in Employability Skills
The results are in and Nancy placed 3rd, Kaitlyn placed 3rd and Jarrett placed 3rd. Maleah placed 1st and will be competing at Sectionals.

Tomorrow AES students and staff will kick off of Self-Esteem Week! This week will celebrate building self-esteem and being drug and alcohol free.

Congratulations to the Athens Middle School forensics team. The team consists of 11 members in 4 events. All received an A ranking in the Level II competition. It was a great season!
