Mrs. Haines and Ms. Borchardt’s third graders enjoyed the first cold day prior to our first snowfall. Using our new playground equipment may not work as good in the snow.

NTC is excited to announce an opportunity for students to learn more about how NTC can prepare them for a successful career. Students will be able to attend virtual sessions led by program area faculty. Check out the flyer for information on how to register.

End of September, the Outdoor Adventure classes along with the Strength & Conditioning class enjoyed a friendly Ladder Golf tournament. Pictured are the winners from each class.

Ms. Stuttgen’s classroom was busy today. Intro to Animal Science has been studying feedstuffs and had the opportunity to handle and smell a few samples I collected. Thank you Miltrim Farms and Kelly Bunkelman for the feed samples for the students to investigate. Then Intro to Ag decorated sugar cookies to look like specific beef breeds to wrap up their large animal unit. Then we finished the day with FFA members carving pumpkins.

Physics students experiment with horizontal motion to see if a ball rolled off a platform will hit the ground at the same time that an identical ball is dropped from the same height.

Whoot Whoot!!
Elizabeth Van Rixel and Nathan Wolf have qualified for the Sectional Cross Country Race Saturday October 24th in Three Lakes.

Ms. Borchardt’s 3rd grade students have been working on giving positive compliments to their peers to build others up and to create an empowering learning environment. Every morning, during our morning meeting, we recognize our “Bluejay of the Day.” To model how this activity should look, we invited Mrs. Redmann, Mr. Nowacki, and Ms. Larsen to be our Bluejay’s of the Day! The students had so many awesome things to share about each of these individuals and all they do in our school! It is so cool to witness our 3rd grade students be kind people and compliment not only the teachers, but now each other during this daily activity! Keep spreading kindness like confetti 3rd graders! 🤩😁

Lets please give a big Bluejay welcome back to Athens to Roger Bloomer who is our new High School Business & Information Technology teacher.
"I am looking forward to getting reacquainted with the families in this small community. Athens is a really neat place and the people have always been wonderful to work with." - Mr. Bloomer

Our year started with self-portraits for our elementary artists. Each class had a color and was able to use analogous colors in their drawing. Here is a visual representation of our school!

FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) is currently in the middle of the 2020-21 membership drive in Athens. FBLA is a great organization to join to be involved in co-curricular activities, build leadership skills, participate in leadership conferences, build great content for future resumes, and meet new people and make connections outside of school. Dues in October will be only $5.00.
