During this holiday season, the FFA members have been working on making an impact in our community. They collected food items for the Circle of Joy, chose a few Gingerbread men from the tree to buy gifts for, collected donations and made tie blankets for the Ronald McDonald House.
Happy Holidays from the Athens FFA Chapter!

The Athens FFA Chapter is looking to start an FFA Official Dress Closet for our FFA members who may not have the items needed to complete their official dress. If you have the following gently used items you are willing to donate that would be greatly appreciated: men's and women's white button up long sleeve shirts, black dress pants, black pencil skirts or black dress shoes. You can drop them off in the office.
Thank you!

If you still need some last minute presents for this holiday season, come on out to the Athens FFA and FFA Alumni Farm Toy Show and Craft Sale on Sunday, December 15th at the Athens High School.
New this year is a he pedal tractor pull for kids ages 4-10. The pull starts at noon with registration at 11am.

The 8th grade agriculture students learned about service learning and completed a service learning project. They made fleece tie blankets for the cats at the Humane Society of Marathon County.

One of our FFA members attended the I Am Conference in Stevens Point, where she learned about becoming a better individual so she can be a great leader. The I Am conference is a national leadership conference for juniors and seniors.

Eight FFA members headed down to Indianapolis for the 97th National FFA Convention. On our way we stopped at the Case IH headquarters in Racine for a tour of their factory. It takes them 3 days to construct one tractor.
On day 2 we attended the general session in the morning and listened to a speech by Temple Grandin and then headed to the Indianapolis Speedway where we toured their facility. The speedway is the oldest in the United States, and was constructed in 1909.
On our last day we attended the last session where we watched the Wisconsin officer candidate be elected to the National team.
