Choir is a curricular, academic class as well as a co-curricular performance based group which meets one period per school day. The curriculum studied and rehearsed during our daily rehearsals and individual or sectional lessons is used for the preparation of the annual fall musical, show choir (which are both co-curricular activities unto themselves and meet extensively outside the daily schedule), solo & ensemble, and various concerts. Historically, the choir performs in four school-year concerts (Christmas, Spring, Graduation Prelude, and Memorial Day). The students participate voluntarily in solo & ensemble in March and may advance to state solo & ensemble in May. The choir participates as a whole in choir festival in April, which is scheduled by the Marawood Music Conference in conjunction with the WSMA (Wisconsin Schools Music Association). If you would like more information, please contact the choral instructor.
