School District of Athens Communication of COVID-19 Information

The School District of Athens (SDOA) is aware of ongoing concerns regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is following the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control, Marathon County Health Department and WI Department of Public Instruction.
The health and safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. In an effort to continue to be proactive with this evolving health situation, the SDOA is implementing the following measures.
AT THIS TIME ALL CLASSES WILL REMAIN IN SESSION
All non-essential events and activities are cancelled until further notice. (ex. open weight room, community programs scheduled at public schools, etc.) Check the district media for the most up-to-date event changes.In addition, the School District of Athens continues to encourage the practice of general infection prevention measures which include, but are not limited to:
- Proper hand-washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Limit contact with others (ex. handshakes, high-fives)
- Cover coughs or sneezes
- Avoid touching the face
- Avoid contact with people who are sick
- Staying home if there are symptoms of illness - if in doubt, please stay home
